I am stumped on a Sattley engine. I cannot get any magneto I put on it to fire when cranking. For some reason I can't get it to trip fast enough. I just put new coils, had it charged, set the point opening distance on a magneto and had it running but now I cant get it to spark without just cranking it as fast as I can turn the darn thing. I put that magneto in an IH 1 ½ M and it started right up. I took the mag off the M and put it on the Sattley and have the same problem. No fire at normal cranking speed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. See picture of setup. |

| Try replacing the 2 springs. If the tension is weak they will not work correctly and the mag will not trip. |

| Thanks for your suggestion. I got it right by removing one of the brass washers I has made and installing a flat washer like the Wico EK manual shows. |
