Picked it up at a sale this week. Serial number AW71750. This looks like a model M 1.5 hp and, if so, the serial number makes it 1928 if I am reading the chart I found correctly.
I have a lot of tractors but this is my first stationary engine. All my tractors are battery start with distributors so the magneto is new to me also. This engine has no gas tank. Not enough time to look further but pretty sure there is a gas line with nothing attached at the tank end. Should it have a tank or do y'all just run a temporary tank on your engines and move it from one to the next? Should I be looking for a tank? Is there somewhere else I should look for info on these? I don't even know how to start it but thinking that giving the flywheel a turn probably figures into it.
