THD Wisconsin horsepower / RPM

I am setting up a 10 KW Generator (AC) and using a Wisconsin THD To power it. I am not clear on the correct speed or horsepower for this engine. Best As i can tell, 18.2 at 3200 RPM, or 16.8 at 3600 RPM. The gen set needs to turn 1800 for my application. I was going to use a tooth type belt or maybe v Belts. The gen set needs about 15 HP. Thinking about running the engine 3000 or 3200 RPM. I haven't bought pulleys yet. lots of options open. Input please??
 
As I answer this, I"ve got a Wisconsin TH/THD/
TJD shop manual in front of me. Max RPM of a
model TH is 2600 RPM. For THD/TJD it"s listed
at 18 horsepower at 3200 RPM. The chart does go
to 3600 RPM, but horsepower drops after 3200.
There are also "Specs" for barometric pressure,
and altitude above sea level. "Allow 1% loss of
power for each 1000 feet above sea level.
ALSO:"For contionous use", "Deduct 20% of horse
power as a safety factor". 20% of 18 is 3.6, so
if you consider a generator as contionous, then
rate the engine at 14.4 horsepower.
I"ve got a THD on a 5KW generator and run the
engine at 2400 RPM, where the book says it has
15.2 HP, (I don"t worry about altitude), and it
does just fine with an Onan belt driven
generator. I"ve always considered Wisconsins as
low speed high torque engines and would never
consider running one over 3000 RPM.Just pick a
pulley combination to get your required speed.
 
Thanks! That has been sort of my thoughts. I have another THD on my weld and power unit, it runs at 1800 or 2000, depending on your heat / power desired. We had installed this motor (From a concrete Saw) on a logsplitter, but didn't like crank starting at below zero Temps. We installed an electric start 14 on the splitter, this engine has been sitting sense then, Fresh .030 over, new vlaves. guess I'll shoot for RPM's under 3000. A well tuned Crank engine is a pleasure to start, at any Temp, but my partner never got the hang of below zero. For some reason I thought the max of this engine was 3200 RPM (Max Horsepower) and not 3600 RPM, (max speed). We had bought a manual but that seems to be on the Burried or lost list. thanks again for your Reply. The pully combinatons are 18 and 30 for what I can get. Gives me an RPM of 3000. 10KW comes out to 13.4 horswpower, (100% conversion factor). can you tell me what the engines puts out (From your manual) at 3000 RPM? or where it drops below 14 HP (RPM)?
