Wisconsin Engine Distributor

M/N VF4D
The cam lobes in the distributor are not spaced evenly, but the spark plug towers on the distributor cap are evenly spaced. The rotor is half way between two plug towers when the points open on two of the four cylinders. I would to know how this works?
Thanks,
Bob

I believe the correct rotor will have a "T" shape to the end of the brass piece. That way with the uneven cam lobes and even spacing on the dist cap the fire will reach the terminals inside the cap. You might have a rotor for an even fire VH4, just a guess.

The part numbers are the same for the cap from a VH4D and VF4D. The rotor number is different however. The VF4D rotor has a 'T-shaped' end as Duner Wi says. That way the spark can reach the appropriate tower on the cap.
