Lister Diesels?

Made: in Great Briton
Logo: is an English Setter Dog
Motto: Just remember Lister/Petter, we"re the
ones with the English Setter !

If you don't learn what you need here, there're lots of Lister Diesel posts on the Vintage Diesels forum at smokstak (including a member who posts as Listerdiesel), and I believe there's a Lister Diesel website/forum of it's own.
It also might help to post WHICH Lister diesel...

There were Lister Engines and Petter Engines. The companies later merged. Production was in and and around Druery England until the 1980's.
Petters and Listers were built new in India under license for a decade or two.
Now it's a free for all with Listeroids and Petteroids built in backyard shops in India. Quality varies.
Parts are reasonable easy to come by on ebay.
Old Listers and Petters are common as dirt and now sold for scrap metal prices in the British empire.
I have a 1970's or 1980's "Krysler" brand petteroid which is a PHW1 Petter.
It used to have a serial number plate but the previous Amish owner chucked it in the junk.

Yes you said it. If you look after them they go for ever. We bought an old one in 1976 ( a famous dry summer here in UK, ), a 19 hp 2 cylinder diesel connected to a 6 inch water pump. Wow could it shift some water! I have some photos of it somewhere of it after I had painted it up just before we sold it in 1996. If I can find them I will scan them and put them on here.
