Picked up a Delco 32 volt generator. It was in an old barn untill the barn fell in. its got a Four cylinder engine on it and my guess by a few pictures on here is that its the chevy copper cool engine. I can take some pics tomarrow if someone knows more about them, I think I could use some info. on both the engine and the generator unit.

There"s a book called "Sixty Years of Chevrolet" that you might track down at your local library. I"m pretty sure it has a few paragraphs in the book about this engine. If memory is correct, they were all recalled by Chevy...er....Chevrolet, but a few of them are still out there.

Never got around to takeing pics. guess I stayed to long at work, it was dark by the time I got home. I just did some looking on google images and found a few documents about it. In the car chevy put them in all but a few were recalled and the engine was replaced with a water cooled. the maker of the engine however worked for Delco orginaly. I still have yet to find the numbers made and used on the 32 volt

If you haven't already, contact Delco Don, who posts on smokstak and seems to have a great deal of info re' Delco units (as you could guess by his handle!!)
Apparently, per other posts, there's a great deal of variation among Delco units. Good luck.
