On iphone, there is a webstore app that lets you change file and photo size plus do some other manipulations. There may be something like that for the android too. I will change the .3 mb we currently accept upwards but I can't go too much larger as we have so many photos, 100s of thousands now and we never delete them. You can crop a photo on the android and this can help the size by getting rid of background that isn't really intentional. I send the image to my message inbox, i.e. send to myself lol. That compresses the image to 13kb. Then i can retrieve it, save the attachment to my gallery and post instantly.
