I'm going to give you another opinion, but it's one that we use to delete ads out of photo ads based on stated site policy. That policy has to be read to put an ad in, so the person putting in the ad, is knowingly doing so in violation.

This opinion is: All ads containing modern compact tractors, modern tractors, ATVs, 4x4s, Gators and golf carts are frauds. Just report them, don't attempt to contact ads with these items. There is no reason to do so because there is no real item involved, just a picture.

The reason I keep harping on this, is someone must be showing interest in these ads, or the scammers would have gone elsewhere. Please, don't send email to these people, just press Report Fraud.

Edit:

P.S. add to the list above motorcycles and 3 wheelers ;)

Chris

Do you have a "year model" that you think differentiates between antique & newer model tractors that you do not want listed in the classifieds??

Jim,

We've gone by car standards so often say 20 years for a classic and 30 for an antique. In practice, frauds don't necessarily fit that so it slides sometimes and some get deleted anyway.

Thanks,

Chris

Bill,

The only thing you can do is click on the email link and see if it goes through. We can't provide email address due to privacy policy nor can we put them out in the clear because of spammers. But most of the time, the message does go through. One problem is it may go to a sellers junk mail folder if they use yahoo, gmail and those other free services. Unfortunately that isn't something we can do anything about either. If there is a phone number, it's best to call it. A lot of fraudulent ads, will not have phone numbers.

Thanks,

Chris

Pat,

Not sure why that is happening. Send me and email with the message next time it happens. Either a screen shot or just a copy/paste. Also, just email me the ad number if it happens.

Thanks,

Chris

I just tried it and it worked fine. Could have been a character you are typing in or something like that? Next time you see one, just put in the word fraud and give that a try. Don't put in your email and we'll see if there is something there too.

That suggests the program is aborting. I'll test one though I've received several today.
