Let me know which search you mean. There is the Classifieds, Photo Ads and then the "Search For:" box up in the upper right. That last one seems to return very good results for most keywords. For example, putting "AC D14" in there gets all on topic posts. It has not always done that, it had some serious bugs reported a few months ago. It used to search the parts store first which gave a lot of stuff you wouldn't want to see, plus if you used that same box with a specific tractor brand in mind from a brand forum page, it would search the wrong one (for example, if you had "Ford" selected, it would search "Oliver" etc). I do want to know what errors people get.
As I mentioned, the Classifieds and Photo ads, don't use that search, especially photo ads seems to return more than what you are interested in.
If you have any examples I can recreate, it would help too.

One example for me would be why does a photo ad search for "D John Deere", return 3040 ads starting with "1957 MF TO35 (TO-35)", for example???

That ad seems to have none of the three keywords entered, much less the three together...

Yes those are the two that most people do a search on. When you see an ad that someone you know is interested in, for example, then when they go and try to find it, especially on Classified, it's next to impossible. I haven't tried it for a while so maybe it's better. I hope.
