I posted a question on MF-MH. Got little response so I posted the same question on Tractor talk where I got better response and learned more. Then stickwelder comes along and posts I shouldn't post the same question twice.
So, was I wrong posting twice or is stickwelder being rude?
Re: Posting on 2 places? in reply to George Marsh, 06-08-2014 15:37:59
It's called cross-posting and in this case, I understand why you did it. Just to make sure others don't respond to the first post and get two discussions going, I would edit the first one (or even easier, just add a reply to it) and add text that you decided to move the post to tractor talk (could even give a link to the other post). I could also delete the Massey version if you like. It's almost better to put a link in the Massey version so people looking for information on the same issue in the MH/MF forum, will have a bread crumb trail to find the responses. For YT users, the problem is understandably one of confusion. For us, the big problem is why cross-posting often occurs. It is something that spammers do to advertise, this is clearly not something like that, so no need to apologize. Let me know if you want me to edit it or delete it.
