locked engine

hello. im new to the group. i got my friends grandpas old tractor, a 78 ford 1600. during the last storm the tarp blew off of it and now it wont start. looks like rain got into the intake. i stopped trying to start it after i found the engine seeming to be locked up from fluid in it. this is my first diesel engine so i am unsure how to get the water out of the cylinders. if i remove glow plugs will i be able to turn engine to get the water out? or do i need to remove injectors? how do i get the water out? thank you

Remove the glow plugs and start cranking engine, that will blow out any water in the cylinders. I've done it before on glow plug equipped engines.
