1240 planter

The online catalog really does not help you much from what I see. It says part B10029 and call dealer for availability. So maybe a dealer could give you a size. In the link you click on the 23 in the square box to see the part number. Maybe someone else give you the size if it is a standard chain. I would recommend reposting this on the John Deere topic section. I would suppose you know how to get there. Here is the easiest way to do it and requires the shortest explanation. Depending what ..View.. you are in if you use the ..Jump to.. or ..Hop to.. drop down box seen below when viewing your post you can navigate to those topic sections. Clicking in them will bring up the ..Topic section.. list for you to choose from.

Gee's i don't remember it's been what now since i bought my 1240 back in like 1986 and replace it . back then when we still had a real hardware store they had what i needed instock just std. twist chain But i for get what one . Just bought some twist chain for cross bar replacement for tire chains locally . If ya got and old school hardware store take a chunk with ya and match it up .
