Pinched FEL hydraulic lines

I have a FEL on my small 35HP tractor. The metal hard hydraulic lines that run attached to the bucket arms have been bent where I think I put a chain around the bucket and
inadvertently put the chain over the lines. How hard is it to have this repaired?

It would depend on how long the lines are and where they terminate.

If accessible the best solution is to replace them, or at least the back one, the front doesn't look too bad.

Ot you could cut the bad section out and couple it back together if there is enough room, or cut out a section and use 2 couplers.

Steel line requires special couplers, not the brass ones from the hardware store! The lines may also be metric, measure them with calipers to determine the correct size.

Hello wm welcome to YT! Steve did a good job of answering your question but had to work around the obvious fact that you did not post the make and model of the tractor. It is also possible the loader is made by a different company than the tractor it is on, so in that case add that info. Knowing that would be very helpful to checking into whether complete replacement lines are available and what the pricing may be. Since you are capable of posting pictures a picture or two showing the entire length of the lines also one of the whole machine would be helpful. We may even be able to identify your tractor if you do not know what it is.

If you have a good hydraulic shop in your area they MAY be able to make up new steel lines from scratch.

Won't be cheap, but neither are the repair compression fittings designed for steel hydraulic lines.

Another option is to have hoses made up to the proper length and with the matching fittings at the ends.

That won't be CHEAP, either as specialty hose ends are typically WAY more pricey that pipe thread ends, and the hose will be larger and won't directly fit the current clamps that keep the lines in place.

replace them, they are now weak spots and the lines will eventually leak or even worse blow. As other comments have said it is a common issue and a good hydro shop can make them in a few minutes.

Well if ya have a bender to bend new tubing it's a pieces of cake . The tubing can be bought locally if ya have like a Parker outlet close by and they sell that tubing in 20 foot lengths . along with the fittings one needs . I have a locally supplier about 23 miles from me .
