JD model 40 belt replacement

Ive been pouring through the forums but can't find this
How do I get the belts off the crankshaft of my 40? I removed the wire clip holding the hand crank in place but can't get it out of the way. I've already dropped the fan/pulley assembly down and removed the generator.
What am I missing?

Hello Rusty welcome to YT! You have sort of unknowingly taken the road less traveled. This Restoration and Repair Tips section does not have the highest viewing numbers.
