Hello ..Farmer welcome to YT! You can replace it without splitting it. The part I am not a 100 percent certain of is if it can be done without removing the Lift-all hydraulic pump if the tractor has one. Removing the pump is not all that difficult, it is just heavy and awkward. Some people get all-thread and place one on each side and lower it down with the nuts. You came to a lesser viewed topic section. In the future if you have more IH questions post them in the Farmall and IH topic section in the link. If you would have posted this there you probably would have gotten a response within a half hour.

I took some photos of clutch release in it manual . Thinking about this , if clutch release bearing is bad then wear is also in the other components of the clutch ,flywheel surface ,checking for cracks in surface greater than 1/2 ,this is cast iron flywheel ,clutch worn down to rivets, pressure plate springs , pilot bearing ,ring gear on flywheel .
I recommend splitting it and measuring everything . You ll have to decide , it an 80 year old machine got to be some other issues to discover, and correct.
