AC 185 with sloppy steering

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I should start. I have an early 70`s AC185 with steering/front end opportunities.
There is so much play in the front end that the front tires can be angled in different directions at times. It used to only be the one side and now both will do it intermittently.
Does it sound like Tie rod ends, bearing or what?
The tractor was used hard on a dairy farm previously and hasn't`t been used very hard since I bought it, but I can't use it as it is.
Any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It could be tie rod ends, spindle bushings, loose arms, sheared keys, etc. (any one of these or multiples). We can guess and say it is this or that, but we don't have hands on to actually check things out. My only suggestion, to find out what repairs are actually required is, this is a case where you have to inspect it and find what is loose, to determine what you need to replace or repair. If you don't feel you can identify these things, do you know a mechanic? Even one who is competent on car and pick-up truck front ends should be able to look it over for you.

Hello P bear welcome to YT! In the link is the manufacturers online parts catalog for your tractor, scroll down about two-thirds of the way and click on section
178 Axle, Steering. This will show the steering system and front end on your tractor.
Relegate a helper capable of occupying the seat and
moving the steering wheel back and forth a distance of
2 - 3 inches on the rim engine running. You will go up
and assess the steering linkage. Hydraulic cylinder 13
will be extending back and forth you will be looking for
play or loss of motion on any joint or connection
between it and number 17 the spindle arm. Any place
where a 1/16 of an inch of motion or more is lost is a
place that needs repair to remedy your problem. I am
not an Allis man but in addition a common problem for
all brands is the fitment of the spindle arm to the round
part of Spindle 14 can come loose. It shows a key
coming out of a small slot in the top of the round shaft.
If during this check you see the arm 17 moving back
and forth but the spindle 14 and wheel are not moving
together with the arm this is a major concern. The arm will need removed and
then figure out why the connection between the two is
not solid. If after reading this you are saying ..what is
this guy saying..? You would be better off finding
someone to do this repair task for you.

The parts may be the same, however you will need to verify your serial number to get the right parts book as there are two. used red MN gave you a link to the one for after serial number 12800. A link to the parts book for the ones before 12800 is below. I think your early 70's 185 may fall in that group.
