Ford 2000 Hydraulics

Hi, I'm from Michigan, new to the forum but would appreciate any help. I took the hydraulic lift cover off my 1968 Ford 2000 3cyl gas. I was changing the fluid and cleaning out some sludge. Also was going to replace the lift pin as my 3 pt hydraulics are touchy (not very responsive to the position contol lever). Turns out the existing pin was fine.

I found this stuck in the sludge at the bottom of the hydraulic case. I've been looking at parts diagrams but not sure what it is. Can anyone on here help identify? Thanks

Hello CB welcome to YT. I am not a Ford guy but I am
interested in seeing what you found. You obviously run
into a little trouble getting you picture to post. Just
recently the forum host here changed the
requirements to new posters to be able to post photos
from a post count of 5 posts to 1 post. I believe this
change was only made on ..Modern View.. so you need
to post from there. In Modern View you will see the
Classic View option in a red outlined box at the top,
just adding this as a way to verify you are in ..Modern
View.. You need to try again with posting your picture
in Modern. It should go through on your second post if
everything I understood about the change is correct.
This restriction was a way to keep internet bad guys
from dropping in and posting bad pictures with hidden
viruses. Pictures post through the ..Choose files..
button or some such name down lower in the ..New
post and reply windows. They cannot be pasted into
the text area as a file.

That is great that you could get the photo up but I have
no clue what it is. My original thoughts are it may have
be for the detent springs in the shifters or something
for the hydraulic valving. The second problem is you
have sort of found the road less traveled this particular
topic section does not have the highest viewing
numbers. This forum has topic sections for individual
tractor brands. So I would recommend reposting this in
the Ford topic section I have linked. Good luck!

Thank you for taking a look and helping me get the pictures up. I appreciate it. I reposted to the Ford page. Thanks
