Need help connecting wires on c farmall 12 volt conversion kit from steiner (ihs 3005) i am an electrical idiot. Tractor has one wire alternator. Kit doesn't mention anything about wires connecting to resistor. A simple diagram would be very much appreciated.

I answer your other post but to maybe put in in simpler term if you cut the wire going to the non distributor side of the coil and then put the ballast resister in between the 2 ends of the wire you just cut you have it wired as it needs to be

There is info missing here needed to give the right answer. Is the original coil being replaced with a true 12-volt coil, wound internally with the proper resistance, which does not need an external resistor, or is the original 6-volt coil being retained which would need a resistor added ahead of it as part of a conversion to 12-volts?

In his other post he revealed, later in the thread, that it has a 12-volt coil. No resistor is needed with that coil.
