Oil Pressure Gauge Repair

My Rochester oil pressure gauge from my Ford NAA is stuck on 40 psi. It s old, rusty, and hasn t been used in years. I would like to restore it instead of replacing it. Anyone have any experience opening up the gauge for inspection and repair?

Is your tractor nearly a perfect example of a machine restored to the gnats-arse? If not you are a gluten for punishment! Get a replacement and save yourself the headache. Of course it is your tractor and you can do as you want. Here is an example of one step that has to happen. I am certain there is also some sort of fixture needed to re-crimp the bezel to close it back up.

I plead temporary insanity. After seeing what s involved, it s obviously not practical. My NAA project is more a rejuvenation than a complete restoration. However, I am, sometimes, a glutton for punishment.
Thanks for your advice and the video link!

There's a place called Evergreen Gauges. I'd search them. All their gauges are calibrated, not just for decoration.
