So -
1989 MF 30E with 34 loader.
I've been splitting it due to a leak at the transmission pump area - just great.
I put a new pump in - and a minor pressure test to the torque converter lead me to believe it was ok.
After it's together I notice STILL a significant leak there. It comes out the weap holes and the Inspection Cover.
It's definitely hydraulic fluid - not engine oil.
Is it possible... Is there a critical alignment procedure with the torque converter that allows it leak-free interaction with the transmission pump?
I aligned it manually - I hope that's the failure point. Otherwise perhaps I scored the oil seal with a few attempts at mating the splined shafts.
thoughts?
Jeff.
thanks.
