Thinking about painting this old cultivator. Will normal cleaners and pressure washer take care of moss, will it keep growing?

It looks like lichen to me. Lichen sticks pretty hard but it softens with moisture. Your best bet is to go at it with your pressure washer after a couple rainy days.

I've got a lot of that stuff growing on my old machinery. A product called wet and forget will kill it and the weather over time will knock it off the machine if it sits out doors. Lowes and other stores
sell it. I've used it to kill the stuff off grave stones too. You buy the concentrate and mix it up in a sprayer. I think its the same stuff you can take of mold and stuff in a shower.

I don't have the answer but have you ever noticed when it a nice warm rainy day it turns the prettiest color of green. Pretty ugly any other time??? I would not want it on anything fixed up and used but on
old farm implements sitting outside it kind of neat/Cleddy
