My son purchased his great grandfathers Farmall M from 1949. We are working on a restoration/simplification. We have eliminated the belt pump and are looking at getting rid of some of the hydraulic mess. It came with a live hydraulic pump. I have the existing belly lift all pumped removed. We are wondering if we can eliminate the entire lift all and simply figure out a way to use the belly pump as a tank? Do they make a blank cover or do I need to break apart the existing pump and use that? Any help would be great?
