Hello all , anyone replaced the lines on the power steering pump to the cylinder? Been to 3 or 4 hydraulic hose shop in the area no one has the fittings to the pump and cylinder . From what I determined the the threads are 9/16 -18 . Any information would be greatly appreciated.

When I run across something that's difficult to impossible to locate or duplicate, this is what I do. Cut the old hose and crimp sleeve off exposing as much as possible if the original metal tube they started with. Look at the space available and possible routing options for the replacement hose (if any). Then I take a standard J.I.C. plug, in this case probably a #5 or #6 depending on the room there is to work with. Bore out the plug, and braze it onto the original tube. Sometimes for space reasons the tube needs to be shortened or bent slightly. Then make(or have made) a replacement hose with the corresponding size female J.I.C. female end on it. Replacement hoses from then on are available anywhere.

There are ready made weld on type fittings available, but I find it faster and simpler to just cut and modify existing fittings I already have into what I need. Usually J.I.C. plugs in this case.

Hello ..rider.. welcome to YT! Did you try just doing web search to see if anything that shows up looks like what you need? I cannot seem to get the AGCO online parts book to show a model 50. If you could get the OEM part number and web search that sometimes that works. NAPA has a compression type fitting with an oring that you can cut off the line and tighten it up and you are good to go. The problem is I do not think you have a long enough straight section after the bend for one of those to work. You have also posted on a topic section that does not have the highest viewing numbers. Maybe try reposting this on the MH & MF section which is specific to your brand see link.

There are two 50 catalogs on the AGCO site. One is titled TRACTOR (#651291), the other is titled Tractor (Harris and Massey) (#690195). Harris and Massey would be the earlier vintage 50s, about the time the company name changed to just Massey Ferguson, I believe. You can study the power steering sections of both, to find the right one for yours. I think it may be the Harris and Massey one as those lines have tubing at the ends. There are some serial numbers referenced which may help find the ones to match your tractor. Then it will be easier to talk with a dealer, you might have to tell them the parts book number you are looking at.

As Harry in Ky mentioned, if the tubing is useable, you can use the fix like he does or see if the hydraulic shop can get the actual compression or weld hose ends to attach to the tubing.

Yes I've tried dealers and part numbers.
The part numbers brings up nothing online
and the parts at dealer are no longer
available. From my research the fittings
on the pump and cylinder are 9/16 -18 . A
9/16 bolt will screw into it, the bump
tube fitting looks like it would work but
I can't seem to find a 9/16 -18. Well I
can find one but not sure it the right end
is 9/16-18 bump tube or jic. I know
nothing about hydraulic fittings .. the
fitting is called a bump tube adapter

Just something to try. Get a M14 bolt with a 1.5 pitch and see if it threads in (gently, don't force it). It looks like most bump tube adapters the size you are looking at are JIC on the hose ned and metric thread on the bump tube side.

As suggested you may need to manufacture your own using the old tubes.

You might want to post this down on the Massey Ferguson and Massey Harris Forum. Someone there who doesn't visit this forum might have an idea.

Both #6 J.I.C. and ORB fittings are 9/16 - 18. It's possible a #6 ORB adapter with a seal washer might thread into the pump and/or the valve and give you something you can work with.
