Tractor is a 1957 J D 420C 113.3 Crawler. HELP, I have a question about cam bearing installation. The rear bearing is 1 1/4" long & has an oil hole 3/16" from one end & 3/32" from that hole is a semi-circular cutout which is at the edge of the bearing. The block has an oil slot which is 7/8" from rear of block and an oil hole which is 1/4" from rear of block which goes to the outside with a line fitting attached there. My questions would be, which end of the bearing goes forward & which oil hole is lined up with what? The next would be about the oil hole that is 1/4" from end of block. If I put a 7/16" deep cam plug, which is the length I took out, it will cover most, if not all of the oil hole which begins at 1/4" from rear of block. Thank You for helping.
