carburetor link to choke cable

How in the world do I connect the choke cable to the carburetor of a 9n ford

A 9N should not have a choke cable it should have a choke rod. On the end of the rod is a cup sort of thing that is spring loaded so you push the cup part forward and it opens up so you can then pop it over the ball on the choke part of the carb
