Hi All, We have a circa 1965 MF 50 tractor with a 4 cyl perkins diesel. When parked up it was running perfectly, but after leaving it for 3 or four weeks she wouldn't even turn over ( Just a solenoid click). I Have removed the starter which checked out OK). I attempted to turn the flywheel with a crowbar but it won't budge. Has been regularly serviced, has good oil pressure and has never got hot. Any suggestions on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try turning the engine the opposite direction?
That it was running, shut off, and now locked, sounds like a liquid locked cylinder from coolant or fuel. If that's the case, it should turn the opposite way though.
When trying to turn it with a prybar, look carefully as you rock it back and forth. If the engine is seized, you will get no movement, or a very tight movement with no slack either direction. If it will turn freely "just a little" in each direction, there is likely some accessory stopping it, something connected to but not part of the actual engine.

generally the first thing that is suspect when a motor won't crank is the battery. How many volts does it show? If the battery tests good the next thing that is suspect is cable connections. They need to be not just clean but shiny clean. Wiring can be "load tested" by performing a voltage drop test. You measure voltage across your battery, then measure momentarily from the "hot" post on your starter to ground with the starter engaged. If there is significant drop in voltage while it is carrying current, you have a connection problem (problems).
