What Would Be the Correct Search Term?

I bought a new pulley for my bedding chopper.

It sat around for a long, long time. Well, now I'm getting ready for winter, and I'm getting the bedding chopper prepped... I put the pulley on, and I find that it's missing one of the two little black set screws that lock it on the shaft. It has one that locks it to the keyway. Then there is another that locks it to the shaft itself. Nothing there. I can't have this pulley sliding on the shaft.

It's too late to dig up a receipt. I have Amazon Prime, I can just order a couple of screws...

But what do I call them? I tried "Pulley Set Screw" and a couple of other terms. No luck.

Is there a "magic word" that I need to know?

Well... instead of Amazon, there is a dedicated fastener store about a five minute drive from work.

I didn't find them on the shelf, so I asked the guy at the counter.

They had them behind the counter, labelled as:

"Cup Point Set Screws"

Very common thing and most hardware stores and farm and home stores have bins full of them in many sizes. BTDT to many times and I try to keep a few sizes on hand all the time

The term "cup point setscrews" could also get you THIS version:

Vs. the more common (nowadays) "Allen head" or "socket head".

Even "socket head" allen could have a shoulder on it. As a matter of fact, the first allan set screw that he showed me had a shoulder on it... I had to say...no no...straight, right from the shank... then he found me the right ones.

Always need a picture. The words just get you close :)

The TSC that I go to once In a while has bens with then in it but you have to know where to look. I go to Orscheln's more then TSC since it is less then 10 mile form where I live and TSC is 25 plus. Orscheln's has bens full of stuff like that also.

My Barber-Green screen parts manual calls them grub screws.Old Volkswagen manuals call them the same thing, they use them to hold front end parts on.

"Grub Screw" actually worked really well as a search term on Amazon. I tried it out just for fun. I found all sorts of matches.

You could call the manufacturer for screw information. Doubt if they would just one set screw. Minimum order you know. But they may send the
screw to you no charge. But if you could get information on the screw you could get it locally. Good luck.

THen there are dozens of set screws available with different points.

If the set screw holes are deep enough it is a good idea to put two in each hole. Second one keeps the first one from backing out.
I then put in some really gummy grease to fill the hole up and keep the threads from rusting.
