cub cadet 105H transmission relife valves to r

Is this a 10HP tractor made in about 1968?

If so, it will have two valves with little pins sticking out, one for forward, and one for reverse.

When the pins are pushed down, the tractor can be manually moved for a short distance.

If one of the pins sticks down (common) you lose drive in one direction, sound like that's what you've got going on.

Sometimes, they can be loosened up with penetrating oil and patience, but may leak because rust and little tiny O-rings don't get along well. They are not designed to be serviceable/repairable.

New ones are available, ($$$) and there's typically used ones on ebay, plus there's a couple of guys on there that will press your oil valves apart, clean 'em up and install new O-rings and press 'em back together.

I have never used their services, but looks promising.

Look at ebay auction numbers 112495167907 and 320670405175.

Six 3/8" capscrews and a couple cotter keys and the whole rearend rolls right out the back of the frame.
Also a good time to clean the entire outside of the transmission, either a pressure washer or a spray can
of Gunk foaming engine cleaner and a garden hose with a good nozzle. Good time to change the HyTran in
the rearend and install a new filter.
