DB885 sending unit for hydraulic systems idiot light

Would like to bench test mine before refilling with oil. Wiring and the dash light were MIA when the tractor was received so no idea if sender works.

Understand a vacuum is created in the hydraulic system when the oil is cold which activates the sender which turns on the light. So, and this is a guess; in open air the sender will test open with no continuity between the chassis ground (or sender body) to wire terminal but under XX inches of vacuum, it closes providing a path to ground (or sender body)?

Received no response to this question in the Case/David Brown section.

This is me responding to my own question. The sender is a David Brown (Case?) #K921217 or AC Delco #7954473 with a closed contact value of 8-9" hg. According to the manual when the inlet side of the hydraulic system sees a vacuum of the fore mentioned 8-9" hg in cold weather or if the filter is clogged, it grounds the indicator light turning it on.
