Ford 7000 Turbo

I need to replace the turbo on my Ford 7000,Ive been told by 2 repair specialists that it's not repairable. Please can you tell me if there is an alternative could I use one from a 7600 or 7610 or is there a better option that's readily available.thank you for your help.

You can get aftermarket replacements for around $1000.

Early 7600/7700 should be a drop in replacement as they used a donut to connect the exhaust pieces. Should be, don’t quote me on it because I’ve not tried it.

Later turbos used a v-band setup, I’ve made them work, but it requires some fabrication.

I have a local fellow here running a 5000 with a 7000 turbo manifold and a turbo off a 304 new Holland that’s been working really well.

A HX30 from a 3.9L Cummins would work really well, just have to fabricate some of the exhaust hookup.
