JD DLTX-10 Passageway Cleanout

I understand (but may be wrong) that three drill bits are needed to clean out the passageways on a DLTX-10. They are #53, #57 and #40. I'm looking for some directions (hopefully with pictures) that tell which drill bit is used for each passageway.

I believe all you do is insert the drills and turn with your fingers. It's to clean out rust in the passages, you're not actually drilling.

The blue is air/vent passages. Use # 40 in them, won't have to drill but just to make sure they are clear of bugs etc. Red is idle fuel passages. Drill by hand with lube of some kind. Will take some time. Be careful not to break bits. The white is your idle needle and when the horizontal #53 passage is all clear you should be able to look through it and see your idle needle back in there. The #57/#58 hole in side of bore may be a bugger if rusted very bad. use penetrating oil and work slow.You may have to slightly tap end of bit with a light hit from the side of an end wrench or something light, just to poke into stubborn rust so bit can get a cut. Also be sure the three vent holes in the choke end are clear also. Also run the #40 down through the load needle hole also, so you know the hole down in bottom of stem is open to size. I also run the 40 down the idle needle hole to "clean the seat" where idle needle seats. #53 to make sure idle needle inlet hole is open. Have fun.

The secret passage with the X needs be open also to make it idle without the choke on.

The one with the "X" is just an access hole for the drill hole over on the other side where the load needle lets load fuel into the stem. The one with the "53" drill into it horizontally , is the secret idle passage.

The plug with the X is the only one I couldn't get out. Previous owner had tried and distorted the screwdriver slot so I don't have enough to get a decent grab. However, I determined that liquid runs freely through the opening that's opposite that hole so I think I'm good. I was able to use the drill bits to clean out all the other openings.
