Hello All, I am having issues fixing the wiring on my Super M. It was converted to a 12 volt some time back. I used a wiring diagram for a 12 volt with negative ground and Delco Remy alternator. I used the directions on this website on the 12volt The problem is that

The kill switch does not stop the engine. I have to pull the connector off of the 1 and 2 pins on the alternator. Must be something simple I am missing. Your help is appreciated.

Revisit the wiring diagram.

The wire that runs from the ignition switch to the #1 terminal, there is either a diode or a resistor, or an instrument lamp wired in series in that wire.

The reason for the diode/resistor/lamp is to prevent feedback from the alternator, which will keep the ignition coil energized, and the engine running.

I put an indicator light in line as you stated and that took care of the issue. Thank you very much.
