question for dieseltech

ivor from UK here and I would like to know if a fuel leak where the stop control goes into injector pump on a MF35 3cyl can be fixed at home or is it specialist job?? thanks in advance

Can be done either way, but I prefer a COMPLETE pump reseal repair, as it's best in the long run. In my forty plus years of injection pump repair I've never seen a minor top cover reseal last very long, so I refuse to do them anymore. Patch jobs in most cases other leaks show up soon after, then the owner asks, "why is it leaking, you just worked on it"...

I had a blown head gasket on my 1972 diesel 135- the oil was gray in color so I drained it completely. I had the radiator checked/ injectors rebuilt/ Head - valves re conditioned- but it won?t fire off? I set the valves per ?TDC? mark alignment outlined in shop manual. I did notice no oil is being pumped to head?? If the oil pump is gummed up will it crank? Any suggestions for getting it running again?? Any tricks?

are you getting white smoke? if not perhaps you could try bleeding injectors where pipes join injectors but dieseltech is the guy to ask
