What started as a clutch repair has expanded. Once the trans top was off it could seen that during a previous repair the top had been installed with the right hand shifters ball end out of its aluminum socket on the forward/reverse shift rail. The ball made contact with one of the gears, damaging the ball. The now damaged ball served to eat up the inside of the shift rail sockets. One is nearly worn through.
Guess now, while the tractor is split, is the time to fix it. I can see it is a cartridge type set-up but have no idea how to proceed. Suggestions please!
