Got a new to be Mitsubishi D1800 tractor. Charged the battery and it does not turn over. Not sure it there is a lock out switch or starter switch but with the key nothing happens.

Very good chance it has 1 if not 2-3 safety switched. Neutral safety for one plus a clutch safety for another and maybe even a seat safety. What I would do is this.
#1 make 1000% sure it is out of gear and if you can block the clutch pedal. N
#2 look at the starter solenoid you should see the big battery cable wire and also one maybe 2 smaller wires. If only one jump from it to the big battery cable and see if it spins over. If it does then likely to have a safety switch problem but one should also be able to start it doing as I say if the ignition is turned on when you do that.

Plain and simple trouble shoot is what I am telling you how to do

I worked on one of those Mitsubishi tractors a few years back and found the clutch pedal safety switch broken and I asked the guy if he knew about safety and pushing the pedal down when start it and he said yes so I did away with the switch with him knowing it would no longer work
