Ford 5600 pto brake

Hello,

Has anyone else had a problem where the pto brake where it keeps spinning until it's under load. Is there an easy way to change the pto brake with out spilting the tractor

Common as dirt. I have repaired dozens of then. Can't remember off the top of my head if
your tractor has the band or the shoe. Probably a broken band caused by turning the PTO off
with a rotary cutter running. Pull the lift cover.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do these bolts on the middle have to be removed ? Is it OK to leave the remote hydraulic vavle body in place ? And is there anything I should watch out for when trying to get it off.

Found out that thos bolts are for the piston for the 3 point hitch. Pulled the cover off and didn't know about the lube tube for the transmission cooler on the side. Broke it off by mistake. doh !

Other then that the pto brake band isn't broken. It's still all one piece I can slide it easy from side to side Like where I could peal it off easy don't know if it's just out of adjustment. Or supposed to be like that
