IH 784 wiring/circuit diagram

Hi
I have an IH model x84 - not sure if it is an 5,6 or 784.
I managed my preheater fuelproblem but I have no power for the preheater. Are there any relays og fuses between the preheater and the ignition? Is the ignition normally a part that fails in terms og preheating funktion? I measured a resistance between the preheater and the ignition - thats why I ask to the ignition switch.
Best regards
Uffe

Is this a US version of the tractor, I took a QUICK look at the US version factory diagrams, and didn't see a "preheater" circuit, but you way want to take a CLOSER look, yourself.

Thanks Bob but I too could not find the preheater.
I do not think it is a US model. I guess it is a european model - I live in Denmark.
Other clues?

Is this a single, manifold preheater or a "thermostart", or some sort of individual glow plugs in each cylinder?

From what you wrote, it seems like an extra set of contacts on the ignition switch must power the "heater"?

That's not uncommon on other tractors, the preheater is activated by turning the key to the left and holding it for a given time, then turning the key the other way to "start".

If that's the way yours is, "follow the Volts" with a test light, verify there's power to the switch even when in the preheat position, then check for power leaving the switch in the preheat position, and all the way to the heater.

I have an IH584 and it does not have glow plugs or any other type of battery cold start aid to help warm it up. It does have ever have a plug in coolant heater and at one time it had the starting fluid start aid but when it caught fire the starter fluid aid got damaged so it does not work any more. The plug in one is all I have had to use when cold. Plug it in wait 30 minutes or so and it starts right up
