John Deere 2355

Could someone please give me some information about my, problem with my John Deere 2355 utility tractor with Sound Guard Cab on it? This tractor uses an internal clutch slave cylinder, that John Deere says, to use DOT 4 brake fluid in. About every 400 hours the seal at the slave cylinder starts leaking and fluid will not stay in the system any longer. This tractor only has 1800 hrs on it and this will be the 4th seal. The tractor has to be broke into every time to do this. Does any one know of a better seal or a better solution or new technology that can solve this problem? Your help will be greatly appreciated, thank you

When you repair the leak, are you replacing just the seal or the complete bearing carrier assembly?

If just replacing the seal, possibly the seal surface is pitted or worn.

Are there any oil leaks in the area of the cylinder? If engine oil or transmission oil is getting on the carrier,it may be getting to the outside of the seals. Oil will swell the seals, cause them to degrade and leak.
