Putting a cab on JD 2630 ???

Awhile back I run across a post by a guy named Andy on Today's Tractor dated 2006 where he stated that they put a cab on a 2630 with some modification, tried to contact him though his e-mail he provided but didn't work and was returned undeliverable , so this is a long shot but, was wondering if any of you have attempted to do just that. I've got an old cab off 30 or 40 series JD similar to and maybe an old Yeararound or Cozy Cab. I'm just looking for hints or suggestions before I dive in. I have found a pic of a 2630 online with cab .

Back in the day when 2630's were new my uncle had a factory roll guard with canopy and then a heat Houser that had sliding door or doors ? on it and a glass windshield. If you could find one of those it might be about as good as those old style cabs and the panels come off easy for warm weather.

My cousin had a dealer installed Year A Round on a 1020 back in the 70s. I'm not the voice of experience,but I believe if I was doing it,I'd take off the fenders and all the sheet metal,sit it down on there,then figure out what needs to be cut out of the cab to put the hood and cowl back on.

2X what Randy said. Back then pretty much every tractor that had a cab had the same one as most every other tractor. One size fits all. Year Around seems to be far and away the most popular but there were a few others.

For the time and cost to fabricate cab mounts and all the little items to make it work, you could probably buy a Heat Houser that would be quieter, warmer, easier to get in and out of, and easier to remove for summer.
