Cutting torch problem

I tried to use my cutting torch today, which was working fine the last time I used it, turn the acetylene on but the valve by the cutting lever doesn't seem to work now. I can open the oxy. Valve at the handle to get a blue flame, but when I touch the cutting lever, the torch pops off. Also,maybe to clarify, the oxygen will flow through to the tip with the valve near the cutting lever closed. Any ideas? I have disassembled the valve can't see anything obvious.

Do you have moisture frozen in it?

Double check all the orings.

They are in the tip, the cut valve, and where the cut head attaches to the valve handle. If any are missing, damaged, or dry rotted, it will do as you describe.

Make sure the center hole in tip is not plugged so the oxygen can't come out when you push the throttle lever.
