Can anyone tell me if I can order a lens replacement for the headlight or do I have to order a completely new headlight in the case of a busted lens?

The headlight assembly is composed of the rubber gasket (refered to as a cover) CH140001, and the lens or lamp CH11323. Both are pricey. I replaced both covers with parts from JD, and bought the lens from another web sorce for a lot less.

The bulb and the rear harness is the third and fourth portions of the assembly, although the harness seems to be most often supplied with the lens.

Thank you for that information. Guess I am gonna have to break down and buy a parts manual for this 950. I research best prices online but if I don't know exactly what the part is called by JD or the part number, it is impossible to find.
