The tires on my 1955 Farmall are badly cracked. Is there any substance I can put on them that will extend their life?

Find some tire wet that is silicone based. It won't help a lot but is about all you can do. I'm in the same boat. Just afraid of going to jail robing a bank to be able to buy some new tires.

Only thing you can do is keep your eyes open for a good used set. Might find some at a tractor salve he lot.

Just run 'em until the cracks get so wide that the tube comes through and gets pinched. Then you have no choice but to get NEW tires.

By the cracks in tread I would use them but what do the side walls look like. I find old tires go out in sidewalls before the tread.

I run tires till they cannot keep the tube in them any more. I have one tire on my W Speed Patrol that I was told I needed to chance and that was over 20 years ago. Ya I did have to change the one this past summer but the other one is still holding up. I've had a set of good tires sitting in the back of one of my shed for it for 20 plus years and will change the other one when I have no choice

I do not think those tires are too bad, just look like they have been chewed up driving on corn stalks.
