JD 4020 Power shift issue

i can't find neutral on my 4020. I have removed the linkage and manually shifted the control valve arms, have forward and reverse, neutral spot is forward. I have all 8 speeds for forward and 4 for reverse. when i put it in park, it labours bad to killing the engine. Today when linkage disconnected, i put in park and let out on inching peddle and it grinds.
Seems like the valve for direction selecting is letting flood by.

Thoughts on this?

I don't have the service manual at hand to see what clutch packs are used in each gear, could possibly be a damaged and dragging clutch or brake pack, or a valve or gasket issue in the shift valve body.

Post down below on the DEERE Board, there are a couple of guys down there that are more knowledgeable than me on these things, and will have more info and clutch charts right at hand.
