john deere 950 headlight trim piece

Does anyone know where I can find the plastic trim piece that borders the headlights? It has the deer emblem in the middle. I have been told that John Deere does not sell this part any longer and so far I have not been able to find one salvaged. Any help is appreciated.

From what I see at www.jdparts.com you must have dealt with a lazy or incontinent "partsman".

There's a serial number break, and your post leaves out that potentially important information (as do many here), but I think what you are looking for remains the same through the production run.

CH12247 @ over $100.00 appears to be still available from Mother DEERE.

DEERE "medallion", CH13835, looks to be still available, as well, for a bit over $30.

If it's all missing, you're gonna need a couple of R67593 nuts, as well.

Heck, GOOGLING the numbers brings up Amazon and ebay sellers, possibly at a savings.

Wow. Not the first time I have been given bad information from John Deere reps. Thank you for your help. I did leave off the SN which I believe is 011048 (if my memory serves). I do wish I could see an actual photo of the part, but everywhere I searched did not have one. Like all JD parts, these are pricey! Nothing new though. I do have another question for you. Do you know if headlights for the Yanmar (similar model tractor) will fit this John Deere tractor? I hate giving 100$ each and the Yanmar lights are around 60$.
