Hey Hey!
Having some trouble ... new cable, no fine control ... the implement is either all the way up or all the way down, no in between. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is? Is there a method for calibrating the lever position with the imoliment position?

Mike

Is your hitch control lever L, L-D, D in the D or depth position?

It will be under the seat near where your right heal would be.

Load selector in D position. Adjust cable so hitch is fully raised when lever is at end of travel. Sounds like you are in L position.

OK I have a JD 4020 ~ 1967 model ... I don't see a selector on the right side of the seat or left, I would post a pic if I could figure out how ) The only selectors I can see are on the "dash" to the left of the steering wheel

That lever everyone is telling about should move easily . mine was once stuck, i sprayed wd40 on it. and now it
shifts easily . i wonder what all the letter settings stand for ?The 3 pt cable was stuck on mine too ,cable
oil is a very good idea . pull up the floor bd and you will see a peice of history of every job and field this
tractor ever experienced ,. That area really should be cleaned out annually. i have owned my 4020 for 30 yrs . i
think i done it maybe 5 or 6 times . while you are under there clean the battery cable graoundsand secure all hoses
,tubes and wires were muther deer intended them to be .
