Hydraulic cylinder question

Anyone know what the little "hole is in
the attached picture? It's the 3pt lift
cylinder and when I raise the 3pt,
hydraulic oil starts leaking from there.

This appears to be a single-acting hydraulic cylinder, so that port is likely a vent hole.

With a cylinder like that, when the piston seals leak, oil gets past the seals, then is forced out the vent when the cylinder is extended.

Time for new piston seals.

I assume a one-way cyl? Probably telling you that the internal seal is leaking. Like the weep hole on a water pump- tells you that trouble is coming, fix it now before it gets worse, and you"re stalled in a really bad location?
