Little Story Happy Ending

I had a REAL BAD day at work last week so I decided to leave early before I left in hand cuffs..
On my way home, 1 hr drive thru country roads.. I ran across "the Peanut Man" sitting at a 4 way, out in the country selling Hot Boiled Peanuts.. Cajun style & regular..
I had a cravin & stopped.. It was about 90+* & 90% humidity.. We chatted a minute & I paid for my peanuts.. I noticed he was sweating & asked him. Don't you have an A/C unit in your wagon?? He said, yes but the gen was leaking gas & he didn't wanna run it..
I'm pretty handy being a MEKANIK.. lol so I said I'll have a look..
I fixed the old mans generator in about 10 minutes w/ the parts I had in my truck.. & he was happier than all get out..
He was SO HAPPY he offered me a Pepsi & free peanuts the next time I rolled thru..
He offered me money & I said, NO.. just one neighbor helping out another..
I THINK it made ME feel better than it did him?? I rode off w/ my free Pepsi & I'll stop later to get my fill of Cajun peanuts later..

What a wonderful World this would be if we all did things like this every day. You will be Blessed many times over for you little act of kindness.

Wife and I went to a pizza place we had not been to for over a year, had our pizza and waiteress brought our take home box and said you bill has been paid! WOW!! She said the couple sitting at next table took care of our tab, they had a small child with them (was grand child) wife made some small talk with woman about child. They were still there when waiteress told of their kind deed, she said they do it (paying forward) every week. On the way out cashier said that was the second time that day it has happened. There are some good people in this world. Of course we thanked them for their generosity.

Some years ago we were going to our local small engine/equipment shop. Our local small town paper has a column that is reprints from years past. I noticed the wedding announcement for the shop owner under the 50 years ago heading. We stopped on the way and got flowers and gave them to the owner and congratulations on his anniversary. He was very happy and couldn't wait to take them into the house for the missus. They have since passed and one of the boys has the business, however we are still greeted warmly and enjoy excellent service.

It is kind of funny how helping others can be a great reward in itself????

I have been blessed in my life. I try to pass it along when I can.

You are a good samaritan! It is more than happy when you helped someone without without asking for a payment or anything. God Bless you!

Once upon a time, I had an appendicitis attack while driving cross country near Indianapolis. Some people I'd never met before and haven't met since went 'way out of their way to bail me out.

Fast forward several years to when I helped folks get unstuck from a snow bank after a snow storm. I noticed that by coincidence the car had Indiana plates. When the fellow wanted to pay me, I told him of my experience in Indianapolis and asked him to just pass it along the next time he saw someone else who needed help.

a lot of people call it carma pumpguy, you left a bad carma situation at work and turned that around into a good carma feeling for yourself and the elderly peanut vendor, that speaks volumes to the kind of person you are. thank you and remember no good deed go's unrewarded. john
