Hi: The pads under the rad as well as those under the gas tank have essentially disintegrated. It is obvious that the gas tank pads are round but the rad pads are now kind of shapeless.
Question: Are the rad pads also circular and the same size as the gas tank pads?
I have made a new set for the gas tank and will do so for the rad after I know what shape and size to make.
Another question for those who know way more than me.
I have been rebuilding most everything on this tractor and sometimes there are a lot of parts laying around that I'm pretty good at labelling and I also take a lot of pictures during the process. I recently took a big load of parts back to the farm. The idea is to have the grandson (11 years old) re-assemble. He did okay with the starter motor when he was 10.
I'm home again and low and behold on the work bench I found this. It is a fiber washer. My pictures aren't helping me for this one. I'm thinking it may be related to the distributor but that is 7 hours away from me now.
Who has the answer?
