Quick rusted rim repair without welding

Just fixed my rear rim on my 1945 farmall A
found a leak in the tube and started
cleaning the rim up and found some rust
issues so looked into a new or used rim but
hey I'm cheap!! Wire wheeled the while rim
and put a piece of tape on the face of the
rim and uses some 3M panel bond and let it
dry over the weekend installed a new tube
and there we go

I had to cut a piece out of one a few months ago while the tire guy was here. I cut a piece out of another rim and welded in to it. I ground the weld down good, but Brian told me not to be too fussy. He got a roll of duct tape out of the truck and wrapped that around and around it to give a nice smooth surface.

Hope that works. I've seen business cards cause holes in inner tubes when we found one between the tire and tube. We could see the card impression on the tube which wore thru the tube. Hope your tape don't do the same.
