Needing help figuring out how to remove pistons on farmall 100 I have un hooked the piston form the crank. Tried tapping on it with a ball ping hammer and block of wood but on luck. The engine is stuck trying to free it up. any help is appreciated.

If the pistons are rusted stuck and the crankshaft and all is still good and rotatable...then hone the exposed cylinders above the pistons as free of rust as possible and pour the cylinders full of your favored penetrating oil. I've had good luck with 'Marvel Mystery Oil' to free up stuck pistons. Let soak for a few days

If the cylinders are not too badly rusted may be able to bust it loose with a big break-over and socket on the crankshaft pully nut or even the starter...if not then let soak in for a few more days and find a piston that can be driven down(look at the crank-throws)...fit a nice hunk of oak block to the bore that fits flat on the piston crown and beat it down. You may break or damage a piston like this but it will usually get something moving!

While MMO might work it will cost 2 or 3 times more then ATF and ATF will work better faster. plus if your in a place where you can safely do this soak it in ATF and then after a few days add a tablespoon of gas and light it up and let it burn till it goes out and then try to pop them out

I was talking to an older gentleman who had a much older friend. During the conversation we crossed
the subject of freeing stuck or frozen engine blocks that had been ""filled"" with water due to an
exhaust valve open; he recalled the older friend working on an engine that no one had been able to
free, the old fellow, he said took a "rag" burlap sack split it into pieces , took the head off, put the
pieces into the cylinders poured in diesel fuel lit it, then went for a coffee and snack, chatted for a few
more minutes, then, took a block and a mallet a few thumps and the engine came free. The whole
process took aproximatly 1 hour as I recall the conversation. The rags the diesel fuel the heat from
them expanded the cylinders, released the rings and allowed take down with ease.
Just a piece of thought to consider.

There's many tricks to freeing up pistons, an old timer here used to degrease the cylinders and use Diet Coke, which is a diluted phosphoric acid solution with good luck.

Considering a farmall 100 in frame engine kit is less than $500 I would consider knocking the wet sleeve out, break the sleeve to free the piston to remove the rod and put new sleeves and pistons in, but it is your choice and budget. If it were an engine that parts were harder to acquire I would suggest a different route.
